All the doors, windows should have their top in the same level i.e. they should be of same height.

Each room must have two doors. If for some reason, only one door could be given in a room, absence of the second door should be compensated by a window. This allows ample of sun rays and air in the room, which is beneficial for the health of the inmates.

Master Bed Room

Always sleep with your head in the East or South side (Place your Bed in such a position that your headboard should be in East or South

The dressing table or mirror should be placed on the Eastern or Northern walls and strictly not facing the bed. This ensures a blissful married life

Locker used to keep money should be facing North direction

Build Almirah's and wardrobes in the West or in South

It is not advisable to have an aquarium or real plants in the bedroom.

If you have an attached bathroom, make sure it does not directly face your bed and the door is closed at all times.


Kitchen

The ideal position for kitchen is the South-East corner of the house.
The cooking stove is best placed in the South-East corner (the place of Lord Agni)
The person cooking should face East direction as this brings good health for the family members
The Kitchen sink should be placed in North-East
The water filter and other drinking water storage should be done in the North-East direction of the kitchen
Cupboards or racks should be placed in the South-West directions


Puja Room

The room for Puja should ideally be in the North-East of the property
The deities can be facing East, West or North. If they happen to be facing the South,it is suggested that an idol of Shivaji or Hanumanji be kept
The color of the room is advised to be white or light yellow or light blue and light yellow & white marble work for the floor
The idols should also not face each other
Any broken idol or torn photograph should not be kept within the Puja room
Ground floor is the favored place for the Puja room and basement is strictly prohibited


Drawing Room / Living Room

Living room should be located either on East, North or West direction
Yellow, White, Blue or Green are the colors for Living Room
TV, Air-Conditioner/Cooler etc electrical gadgets should be placed in the South-East direction
Aquarium or any water body should be kept in North-East direction
Avoid circular or round shape table top for center table
Wall Unit can be placed on the Southern or Western wall.


Dining Room / Dining Area

Dining room should be located in South, West or East
Always use pink or orange or any bright colors in the dining room
If you want to place a fridge in the dining room, then South-East direction would be just apt
If you want to make provision for the fitting of washbasin in your dining room, then the right place would be either Eastern or Northern corner
Crockery unit can be place on the Western or Southern wall.
Refrigerator could be kept in South-East, West or North side, but not in the North-West corner
The dining table if placed in the kitchen should be in the North-West corner


Store

North-West is the best direction for storing
Always leave eastern side vacant in the store room
White, blue or yellow are the desirable colors of the tiles and the walls


Staircase

The steps, whether internal or external shall always be from North to South and from East to West
The Number of risers should be such odd numbers
The staircase block should be towards the Southern or South-Western portion of the building
A staircase located inside or outside the house should not be in the North-East corner of the building


Bathroom / Toilet

Toilet in the North-East can adversely affect the finances and prosperity of the family. Whereas toilet in South-West direction directly affects the head of the family in terms of his health and might make him highly indecisive.

Toilet seats should ideally be placed in either South to North directions or West to East direction
The doors should be either in the North-East or East walls
Mirrors should be placed on the North or East walls only
